Leads
The five Market Tracker lead feeds, what event puts a carrier into each one, and how the window, state and fleet filters narrow them.
Leads is five feeds of carriers that need coverage now, each driven by a different federal event. Where Carriers is a census you search, Leads is a list of things that just happened.

#The five feeds
| Feed | Labelled | Who is in it |
|---|---|---|
| Lost coverage | Hottest | Insurance ended with nothing filed to replace it |
| Cancellations | Advance notice | A cancellation is on file and not yet replaced |
| Rejected filings | Early warning | A filing was submitted and rejected |
| Reinstated authority | Back in business | Authority was revoked and has been reinstated |
| New authority | First-time buyers | Authority newly granted: a first policy |
The eyebrow labels are the ranking: Lost coverage is the most urgent, New authority the least time-critical but often the easiest conversation.
#Filters
Three narrow every feed at once:
- Window: how far back to look
- State
- Fleet
Reset clears all three. The state selector has its own search box, placeholder Search state or code…; if nothing matches it shows No matches.
#Columns
| Column | What it is |
|---|---|
USDOT | Opens the Carrier File |
Carrier | Legal name |
Units | Power units |
Shopper | How strongly the carrier looks like it is shopping |
What happened | The event that put it in this feed |
Phone | Contact number on the federal record |
#Empty feeds
Each feed has its own empty state naming the window, for example:
No unreplaced cancellations in this window.
That is a real answer, not a failure: nothing qualifying happened in the period you selected. Widen Window before concluding a feed is broken.
#Leads versus the Watch List
Leads is inbound: events surfacing carriers you have never looked at. The Watch List is outbound: carriers you chose, monitored for change. Working a lead usually ends with adding the carrier to your Watch List so you hear about it next time.
#Building a call list
For cold outreach against criteria rather than events, use Lead pulls.
Background on the underlying events: What happens when a trucking company's insurance is cancelled and Selling insurance to new motor carriers.
