Lead pulls

Build a cold-outreach list in Market Tracker by insurer, state and city, then export it. Covers what a pull returns and the hourly export limit.

Lead pulls sits at the bottom of the Leads tab under the eyebrow Cold outreach. It builds a call list from criteria rather than from events: the tool to use when you want "everyone Progressive writes in Houston", not "everyone whose insurance lapsed this week".

#Building a pull

Three inputs:

  • Insurer: the writing paper, placeholder e.g. Progressive
  • State: defaults to All states
  • City: placeholder e.g. Houston

Run the pull and you get the matching carriers with the contact detail on their federal record.

#Exporting

Pulls export to CSV. The export is rate-limited per user per hour, with the same message the Carriers export uses:

Export limit reached (10/hour). Try again in a bit.

The two limits are counted separately, so a Carriers export does not consume a lead-pull export.

#Pulls versus the Carriers grid

Overlapping but not identical:

  • Lead pulls is narrow and contact-oriented: a call list, quickly.
  • Carriers is the full filter set, sixteen facets, and it can exclude carriers already in your Book via the My book filter.

For anything beyond insurer, state and city, use Carriers and export from there.

Note

Contact details come from the carrier's federal filing. Numbers go stale: an unreachable number is usually an out-of-date filing, not a missing carrier.
