Troubleshooting
The error messages Market Tracker actually shows, what each one means, and what to do next, exports, imports, ACORD generation, alerts and access.
The messages below are the ones the app really shows, with what each one means.
#Access
#No access to this product
Your account is signed in but does not hold the entitlement for what you opened. Usually the subscription lapsed or the seat was removed. Check Subscription and billing: it stays reachable without a subscription.
#Email not verified
The account exists but the verification link has not been used. Check the inbox used at signup, including spam. Nothing else unblocks until this does.
#Every tab shows the subscribe screen
Expected without an active subscription. Tabs stay visible by design; they load no data. See Plans, seats and what's included.
#Exports
#Export limit reached (10/hour). Try again in a bit.
The hourly export cap. It counts recorded exports, so reloading does not reset it. Carriers exports and lead-pull exports are counted separately.
#Export failed
Usually a result set large enough to time out. Narrow the filters and retry. If it fails on a small set repeatedly, it is not the size.
#The export has fewer rows than the grid count
Two possible causes:
- A format cap: Excel takes fewer rows than CSV. See Limits and caps.
- A demo account, which caps every export and says so in a banner above the grid.
#Carriers grid
#No carriers match these filters.
Filters combine with and. Four individually broad filters can still intersect to nothing. Use Reset filters in the empty state rather than unwinding them one by one.
#A carrier you expect is missing
Check the active view first. All carriers is the default view but it is still a filter: active carriers with a BI/PD filing. A carrier that is inactive, or has no BI/PD filing, is excluded by it.
#Views and alerts
#Save failed
The save did not persist. Retry. If you are at the saved-view cap the save control is disabled rather than failing, and its tooltip names the limit.
#Could not load views
A transient failure fetching your views. Reload.
#A view has never emailed me
Three things to check, in order:
- Cadence is set to
Email me new matches dailyorweekly, notNo alerts. - The first scan after enabling alerts is a baseline and sends nothing.
- The view may be too broad. A view producing more than the alert cap in one scan is skipped, and the app does not currently tell you. Narrow it.
Use Send sample email to confirm delivery is working at all.
#Watch List
#Import failed
Almost always a file with no recognisable USDOT column. The importer accepts pasted numbers in any shape, so pasting a column of DOTs directly is a fast way to test whether the file or the data is the problem.
#✓ No changes since you started watching on {date}.
Not an error. Watching baselines a carrier that day; the timeline runs forward from there. Prior history is on the History tab of the Carrier File.
#Carrier File
#Could not generate the ACORD form.
Retry first: this is usually a transient upstream failure. If it fails on one carrier and works on others, that carrier's record is missing a field the form needs.
#A tab is empty
The file assembles several independent sources and degrades per section. An empty section means that source had nothing or was briefly unavailable; the rest of the file is unaffected. See How current the data is.
#Billing
#Could not resume. Try again from Subscription & billing.
The one-click resume did not complete. Go to Subscription & billing and resume from there, or use Use a different card to go through checkout.
#Could not start checkout.
Checkout did not open. Retry; if it persists, an ad or script blocker is the usual cause.
#Trends
#Trends redirects to Carriers
You are on a phone. Trends is desktop only. Every other tab works on mobile.
#Still stuck
Email info@alfabolt.com. Include your USDOT or the page you were on, the exact message you saw, and roughly when it happened: that is usually enough to find it without a back-and-forth.
