What is in a carrier profile page?

Each page assembles the public federal record for one USDOT number: census identity (legal name, DBA, address, fleet size, cargo), operating authority status (common, contract, broker), the current BI/PD insurance filing (insurer, form, coverage amount), and the safety record (FMCSA safety rating, 24-month inspections, out-of-service counts and crashes). The data mirrors FMCSA census, Licensing & Insurance and SMS publications and is refreshed daily.

How do I find who insures a trucking company?

Search the company’s USDOT number in the directory (or use the free USDOT insurance lookup to search by name). The profile shows the insurer currently writing the carrier’s BI/PD filing and the coverage amount on file with FMCSA. The full filing history, cancellations and the estimated renewal X-date are available in Market Tracker.

Which carriers are listed in the directory?

The index covers every registered USDOT (about 4.4 million). Directory browse pages list active carriers with a live BI/PD insurance filing on record: the carriers an insurance agent can actually write. Any other DOT number still resolves if you navigate to it directly.
